In the past 50 years, I have watched in horror the rapid and sullen changes to our general laws which used to protect us from harm, the bad guys and injustice.
Today most of these 'Laws', have actually stripped us of our inalienable rights, One being the Second Ammendments right to bare arms, the second is the right to re-enter society with a clean slate after serving time for any injustices we may have incurred through none planned means.
What do I mean.
At some point in time, everyone has a 'bad' period, some are worse than others. Most of these individuals are not bad people, just tricked or forced to do something they will regret and they pay the cost with imprisonment.
In our nations past, if you did your time for the crime, they would release you and the rights you forfietted were returned so you could reenter into society to Start anew. While this did not garranttee, those that committed a crime would now take up the path of righteousness or the straight and narrow or not commit a crime again. It was fair and we had fewer criminals, or it appeared that way.
Shortly after the Manson murders in California took place, the Liberal media began a concerted effort to rid society of all Wacko's. In the news nation wide, every police report became front page news. Mass hysteria became the norm, as it appeared, some sicko wacko crook was behind every bush, tree or living nexted door. Soon teenagers new more about their rights and the laws protecting them, that they began to even have their parents arrested for corporal punishments, or grounding them, or even one student turned her parents in for not letting her talk on the phone after 8 PM, that is a fact.
With all this 'Criminal Activity', Liberals demanded a call for stronger laws and stiffer penalties. Something we all wanted, yes we needed to get the criminal off the streets and make us safer.
Has it 'NO! yet we are still stuck with these laws and new ones. In the early 70's the revised federal criminal code allowed for the rights of certain criminals, who committed violent crimes with a fire-arm, to be labled a convicted-felon with a handicap, their right to bare arms would be denied upon return to society for fear of a repeat of offence.
Great Idea, very bady worded code and haphazzardly implemented, for it gave Liberals the tools to remove the right to bare arms from millions without the trouble of passing legislation not all ready in place.
Liberals argued that this should be broader in its meaning to include other weapons and various intimidations or acts which may be construded to be a fearfull influence upon the Victim or public. IE, Rapists, child molesters and the mentally impaired.
First step towards Socialism and Nationism is get rid of the mentally impaired and civil rights to defend ones self.
Soon the term Felony spread form First and Second degree, to third, then forth and insome states there is even a fifth degree. Yet under the Federal Crime Bill, that has been re-written several times since its conception, the intended targets of violent crimes act provission, have managed to avoid being prosecuted to the extent of the law by their liberal defendes, remain free and armed to commit more felonies and criminal acts against the citizens, Meanwhile the law has expanded to all felonies that the community feels fit to deem a threat. Thus any fourth or fifth degree non violent or threatening offense is now the same as those that are violent and harming. No longer are you free to return to society without the stigma of being a Felon for Life or rather a Felon with disablities.
So the honest law abiding citizen that fell pray or forced to a act that was wrong, are felons foe life and not allowed to go hunting or collect fire-arms or own one in any manner.
To the catagory of Fourth and Fifth degree felonies are new crimes that were once misdemeanors or none Felony criminal charges that require jail or prison time. In some states the DUI you might get for driving could carry a Felony label. That prank your kid pulled at schoool, turned into a felony. The heated dispute between neighbors that the victim pushed and pushed, until you could not take it any longer and you gave him a wallup up side the head for it, is a felony. Those little ladies dressed like hoes and as forward as a brothel worker, Know the law better than you and all you need to do, is Peve one off and your a 'felon'.
This is better than just removing the right to bare arms through legislation and destroys the essences of the Second Admendment without removing it from the Constitution. By making those that are not with you and strong willed a `FELON' for ever, even if they never hurt anyone or did a violent criminal act.
True Violent crimminals need to be behind bars. I fully agree with the three strike claus of the bill, I agree with those that use or carry a fire arm in the commission of a crime need to be labeled as Felons with a Disablity, but allowed to regain rights after time if they go the straight and narrow path, while becomeing good citizens. Child molesters and Rapist are sick, need help and the laws that govern the first two examples covers them, especially in murder cases and debautcery. For these types are Felons with true Disablities. A sick one.
The right of Americans to bare arms, has kept us free and non-fearing for centuries. It has help in the times of a common defense that the citizens had weapons to aide our military or defend the community till help arrived. Sportsmen and women help control wildlife populations and help to keep them healthy. Without these refuges for the deer and others, our nations great heratige of game and other wild life would vanish within a few decades as developers and others distroyed the landscape and natural beauty of this country.
How many times have you driven in a city and saw vaccant lots, with trash and paving. Gutted buildings with no windows and graffietti. Boarded up homes and trashed up streets, yet they are building new homes out in the country that sit empty, new malls that are half full or one tennant. To me these are felonious acts and those that perpertrate them need to be arrested as well those public officals that allow them to continue.
Now the Liberal monarchy throng of Dems are back in power. Polesi, Reid, Franks and Obama. The Democrats and the Liberal media coined the phrase 'Camelot' with the Kennedy Presidency. Last I heard we where an elected free domacracy with out royalty, yet the Democrats and liberals live for it, they cherrish it and the power with inservitude laws that go with it. One being the outlawed right to own a fire arm by its citizenry, except themselves.
We must rewrite the laws once more, correct those that harm and re-enforce those that convict true criminals and allow others the right to return to free citisenry. We must never give up the right to own, bare and use fire arms in the defense of our lives, homes, religious belief and nation, with its laws.
The protection of the Second Admendment is vital to a free and continueing America.
